S bend Chain Stay in Road frame new
#788 - 01/25/04 09:39 AM (218.145.25.83)

Hi all,

I am going to build a new road steel frame from Carl. I've ridden MTB many years, so I am accustomed to S bend Chain Stay.
What I want to know is whether there is any problem of adopting S bend Chain Stay in Road frame or not. For instance Chainring clearance or weight increase, etc.
If there's someone who use S bend Chain Stay in Road frame, please advise me.

Hawkeye

Serottas use 'S'-bend chainstays. In think, in fact, they invented them.
