Best Money spent new
#1107 - 02/08/04 08:59 PM (64.12.96.71)

Recently I was purchaser of a new Calfee Tetra. B/c of the weather I have not ridden it all that much but I do have one definite comment.

The Best money I spent was on a professional fit. Never did the go the the shop and get fitted routine. What was I thinking????In the few miles (maybe 100) that I have ridden the calfee I am much more comfortable in the saddle. I will never be fast. I will never be a long distance rider. BUT I will be comfortable and be a much better rider.

Now waiting for the good weather and shed some of this winter fat

Fast is relative. Each time you do a route, you will try to exceed your 'personal best' for that route. Each time, hopefuly, you will be faster.

You will find yourself doing longer rides too, if your bike is properly fitted to you. There will be days, which I've had, that you won't want to stop.

I second that! Nothing in this world like a properly fitting bike.

Here here! I finally got one over the fall and while the initial change was rather drastic, I definitely feel one with the bike. Power output was up over 10% and could be even higher if I smooth out my pedal stroke.

I had a wedge placed into my left shoe, the Lemond Wedges, formerly Big Meat (I think...). Anyone else have experience with them?
