Just picked up a new 04 Prince Sl with full 03 Dura ace, Topolino wheels and in the storm black color. It has a very nice ride with excellent pick up and it feels very fast. I was a little reluctant to go with a Pinarello as I have not been very happy with aluminum bikes in the past. Six months ago I purchased a Pegretti CCKMP with U2 tubing and was pleasantly surprised by the comfort of this bike so I took the chance on the Pinarello.
The tubing on the Prince SL is a space age tubing used as military tubing with much greater strength, 33% less weight and greater compliance as 7000 series aluminum . It has a firm ride but does not beat you up after a 3-4 hour ride. Overall I am pleased with the bike. I won't do double centuries on the bike but a metric or maybe even a century will be in order.

I'd be curious to compare the Pinarello your Pegoretti. These are pretty different designs, as far as geometries are concerned. I had a Pinarello Opera and just could not get not even though it was likely the right size. I found the front end pretty quick up front, quite different from the Pegoretti.
curious indeed, dbrk

The prince is a little smaller that the CCKMP. It feels quicker and more agile that the CCKMP. I think the CCKMP is more complaint than the Prince. The prince handles quicker than the CCKMP as it has almost a compact frame feel. It handles very smoothly during steep fast decents.
Both bikes are fun to ride. It appears that there are no more CCKMP's being imported to the US due to high cost of production for Dario. It is a very comfortable bike to ride.

Jack - sweet ride. Yes, it is a little quicker because it has a steeper HT than most. I have a very old Pinarello (only the frame in the attic now) and I remember how quick it handled. I just bought a new Merckx Race, but I almost bought a Pinarello. I think my next one is going to be either a Pinarello or a Pegoretti.
Enjoy!
