Been riding my shiny new tetra 4 days / week in sunny south florida and LOVE IT... <83 as i write> I average 40-50 miles per ride @ 19-23 mph. I have a 54cm frame with a 44 rake on my alpha Q fork. The problem is i'm experiencing great instability in significant crosswinds <15-22 mph> and am not sure of the source. I do both in NY. Skiing gives me time off from the bike. Heading up north tomorrow for a week of skiing. You can ride all you want, I'm skiing! As to instability in cross winds, it is mostly about the wheels. Do you have a deep profile rim? What wheels are you riding? Enjoy the riding now, I hear it gets pretty hot in the summer time. I got mine 2 weeks ago and have found the exact same thing. I think it's due to a very light front end. I'm using DA wheels which aren't very aero. I definitely notice a little wind buffeting. I've gotten used to it now so no problem. I'm pretty sure it's due to comming from a heavier bike to a very light weight machine. Believe it or not my bike came from the same place. I had never heard of Calfee until I visited there shop. I am looking forward to my first Tri.
