Why not create a general discussion message area for the BFC forum? I don't think Serotta will move theirs over here (maybe I'm wrong..but).
Anyway, regardless of whether Serotta joins or not, I believe a 'general' subjects area would attract those folks who want to post stuff not specific to any bike, i.e. the proverbial what [name your component] should I get? Or what I did during my summer vacation thread, or did you see that.....[name your topic that has nothing to do with cycling] thread. BTW - I do like reading the above mentioned type threads since I always learn something new.
Some might even miss out on stuff by having to search through a specific fan club site (still getting used to adjusting the 'threaded' vs. non-threaded view options). Anyway just my .02 cents.
