Yesterday there was a post on the expense of the Campy 10 chain. Today I received the Glory Cycles Newsletter with the IRD on sale.
You must use the promo code "ird" to get an additonal $5 off. That brings your net cost to $20.99. They use a snap link similar to a Sram.

I hope this helps someone. Being a "Shimano Guy" it is all a puzzle to me. However I love to buy chains on sale and then replace them more often to maintain the drive parts the best.

Thanks for the tip, and for the Promo Code. I just placed my order for one. Great looking chain, and easy to maintain. Only bummer is I ordered the full Record group for my new frame, so I have an extra chain. Anyone want to buy a brand new Campy Record chain for cheap?
Cheers,
Ethan

I heard from a Shimano rep that, with the newer drive trains, he recommends changing out the chain about every 1,300 miles! Wow. I used to go about 3,500 miles on a chain. The bright side is if you go on his schedule the chain should never need cleaning!

You can also get a Wipperman Chain, Nickel plated (not the stainless version) for $25 at Excel Sports, regular price. Nice looking chain with easy Connex link. No tools needed! Check it out.

While we're on the topic of chains, for u weight winnies out there who are using the DA 9-speed, check out the sram 89r hollow pin chain. Not only are the pins hollow, the links have slots cut in them for further weight reduction. 271 g for 114 links. Check out their site, follow the links to "Chains" www.sram.com
