I've got a preexisting knee issue with regard to my cartilage. In the warmer months, I have no issue with it and can do all the riding I want. However, when it gets cold, I really start to suffer, almost to point where riding outdoors in not an option. I put heating cream on the skin and usually have a minimum of three layers over the knee all to no avail. Anyone else suffer from something similar? Any suggestions for keeping the knee joint warmer? Thanks.

I have the same problem, but it doesn't get very cold around here and I'm usually able to manage with just tights or kneewarmers once I get moving. If that's not enough, how about one of those cheap heating pads that you twist and shake to produce heat? They sell them in sporting goods stores around here (about 99 cents, I think), and they look thin enough to tuck into a kneewarmer or strap on with a couple of wraps of Ace bandage.

Thanks Cory. I'll look at those and see if it's workable.
