I'm seriously tempted to order a new Club Racer. Anyone out there have any impressions of this bike? Compared to the Crown Jewel, the Club Racer doesn't receive much attention on the web. I've never actually seen a Club Racer, but I have seen the Crown Jewel and other IF bikes. Their level of quality is impressive.
FWIW, I'm a recreational rider who does about 125 miles per week in mountainous terrain. From what I've heard about the Club Racer, it seems like a bike that will keep fatigue at a minimum on a long ride.
I'm a little concerned about the bike's weight given all the hills and my relative light weight (about 140). As long as it comes in under 20 pounds with Ultegra triple and a wheelset from Mavic Open Pro rims I'll be happy.

I just sold a Club Racer. It is meant for the kind of person who intends to make it their one and only do anything short of a loaded touring bike. It is more of a sport bike than the name suggests to some people. If you like the bike to ride well for many miles but do not intend to EVER put fenders and racks on it, I suggest a Crown Jewel built to ride like a CR. The Crown Jewel tubing id made lighter because it does not have to take the stress of the racks etc. Just make sure that you tell the bike shop exactly what you intend to do with it. On the other hand, if you DO want to install both fenders and racks, this is your bike.

Just now putting the Club racer together and it is very sweet. Red and Orange with couplers. Well done with great welds.

I am getting measured up for my Club Racer today at 4. The color I like best is the metalic Ruby Red with black/silver decals. I am going to pay the extra $100 for the real head-badge and have them delete the low rider rack mounts.
It is going to be tough to survive May riding on my old Schwinn knowing what I will be riding as of June.

I received my Club Racer less than three weeks ago and have about 350 miles on it so far. It’s a fabulous bike. It has the blend of responsive handling, stability, and comfort that I was hoping for. The quality certainly lives up to IF’s reputation. Thanks to the guys at Mt. Nittany Wheelworks in State College, PA, for their expertise; the fit is perfect.
It’s British racing green with yellow-on-white decals and white ghost panels. And yes, I got the silver head badge. It’s the finishing touch on a very pretty bike! I’ll post some pics soon.

I got my club racer about a month ago and I love it. I so wish I had gotten this frame years ago. The is just so better in all riding aspects, more comfy, less bad flexy, better climbing and decending.
