CAmpy Neutron and computer magnet????? new
#1504 - 02/26/04 01:21 AM (67.80.98.28)

I need your help!!!! I installed a Sigma computer on the Tetra pro last night. I then tried to put the supplied magnet on the spoke of my campy neutron wheels. The spokes are to narrow to fit the sigma magnet. I was thinking that I could drill a hole in the magnet and zip tie that to the wheel. Does anyone have another idea????
thx
D

wrap the spoke with electrical tape enough times to make up for the difference in the spoke's diameter and the size of the magnets "slot." should work perfectly. good luck.

If it's a ceramic magnet you won't be able to drill it, and might just crack it instead. Electrical tape is a better idea and not irreversible. If that doesn't work for you try epoxy or silicone.

If your make work fixes don't work, check at your LBS. A good LBS carries a vary of magnetic sizes, because they run across this all the time.

The tape idea is good one - I just pinched the supplied metal sleeve for the sensor to be a little bit tighter, then slipped it over sensor, which in turn squeezed on the spoke a little more.

BTW, how do you set up your Sigma so that it keeps a running total of the distance you put on your bike?
