Handlebars???? new
#1766 - 03/15/04 01:00 AM (67.80.98.28)

Hi all...I have been riding the Deda 215 Anatomic handlebar for abot 3 years on my Independant fab. Crown Jewel. I just got a Tetra-Pro. I got the bike with the Deda 215 Shallow drop bar. I have ridden the bike a couple of times. Not sure of the new bars yet. I plan on riding the bike for a while longer before i decide which bars I like better ( I prefer to have the same contact points on all my bikes, Bars , pedals and saddle) My question is does anyone have experience with both of these bars and if so what are your thoughts, details please.

I like the shallow reach on my Deda 215s (round drop). On my tetra, I switched from Scott drop-ins (deep drop 42s) and replaced them w/ Deda 44cms (the Dedas are narrower than the Scott's since Deda measures from outside to outside vice c-to-c.

The reach is just right for me whether cruising on the hoods or tucked in the drops. I purchased another set (46s) for my Parlee. Like you I also have the same contact points from bike to bike.

lucky and broke... I will provide ride feedback as soon as the frame is built and I get out on the road. However, I will have to caveat my info since I have been a slug for the last two months.

this is of course the calfee forum. that said, there is no choice. calfee every day, even when it rains; there is no better rain bike than a carbon one with ti dropouts, etc... come on, he doesn't actaully ride that parlee. he just bought it so that he can say he supported the east coast economy as much as he did the west coast's (when he bought his calfee). plus, on the odd occasion he does actual ride the parlee, it just serves to show how awesome his calfee is.
