Hello
I am not sure whether to go with 2004 Record (which somehow doesn't seem right) or put a new old stock groupset SuperRecord/Nuovo Record, 50th Anniversary...
I want the bike to be practical and enjoyable.
Thank you for your advice.

I have built mine both ways: modern and classic. It is currently in classic mode with mostly CRecord and oldschool Mavic. SuperRecord is wonderful. But frankly I wouldn't build it with romance in mind but with what you will really love to ride. I love to ride friction and oldschool just as much (actually far more) than I like to ride with clicks. So pick what you will use. It would be a shame to hang the bike up and say, well, not today because it's built with X. This is a GREAT bike and I love mine, have another one on order with the twin plate crown.
Go for it!
