Corsa 0.1 first ride report: Bikefanclub.com

I finally got the new Corsa dirty. I put off riding it as long as I could stand it, and finally I did a little 25 mile loop on it dodging the salt puddles from the melting snowbanks. I LOVED IT!

I am comparing this to a full carbon bike (a Scattante CFR from Supergo), which was my previous fast modern bike. This thing accelerates like nothing I've ever ridden. I'm guessing it's the stiff bottom bracket and the ovalized tubes down there. The ride is buttery smooth - much nicer than the carbon bike. The comparison is like comparing a large BMW sports sedan to a quirky darty sports car. Both are fun, but for long hauls like a century, the Corsa is the ride I want.

Of course there is a weight penalty - it weights almost 4 pounds more than the Scattante. But, my beer belly isn't any smaller this spring, so if I need to lose 4 pounds off anything, it'll be my gut.
