My Luna Pro frame arrived at my LBS. I got to see it yesterday. It took longer than expected (about 17 weeks) but I was pleased with the paint job and the overall appearance of the frame. For right now, I am going to transfer my Trek 2300 components and wheels over to the frame. My LBS had to order a headset and stem so I will not get to ride it for another week.

It is 54 cm and it has the cabernet red fade paint scheme. I got the standard set of decals. I will probably get the combination small pump/CO2 system. I doubt my existing collection of frame pumps will work on the Calfee frame. I haven't thought about bottle cages. For the present time, I will use the old bottle cage off of my Trek. I will post a picture when I get it out of shop. I will probably get flammed because it will have my old Rolf Comps and various trek icon odds and ends on it. I plan to replace these piece by piece when the budget permits. I had to cave into my wifes purchase of custom living room drapes so I could buy the frame and maintain domestic harmony. That is the fun part about buying a bike this way. I could be shopping for bits and pieces for a couple of years and still have a nice bike to ride.

Why a small pump and C02? I have the little Blackburn Wedge Road Bag and I can still carry 3 C02 cannisters. One goes in the device and 2 are outside of it. Plus I fit one tire lever, a 5 mm allen, an all purpose tool, a tube, instant patches, regular patches and some Tyvek.
I figure if I go through 3 C02 cannisters it might just be time to give it up for that day!

I forgot...congratulations. Shopping a little at a time can be a lot of fun. Plus you get to watch for sales and e-bay as well. Good luck!

I agree with Lon, be sure to look into e-Bay auctions whenever you are ready to make a purchase.
I am picking up my new D-Fly and getting a fitting tomorrow. I purchased almost the entire bike on ebay including the frame, all brand new.
I hope to post pictures by the end of the weekend, clear coat with dark decals (no decals on fork shoulders).
Enjoy the ride, I can't wait hit the road.

You will never regret this purchase. I've owned 8 road bikes over the last 20 years and the Tetra Pro is the best: comfortable, light, fast, stiff and looks great too. What's not to like? CC told me that the Luna, TP and DF all have very similar ride feel with the DF having a slightly more "metallic" quality/feel than the other 2. Anyway, comes down to what you're looking for as they all 3 are great framesets.
Enjoy.

Lon I was thinking of buying the Innovations second wind CO2 Pump. It is a combination mini pump and CO2 system. Excel sells it.

I was thinking about the same type of CO2 system with the built in pump..the second wind. Got some horrible reviews that I read. Seemed to break very easily and the pump was somewhat useless. Of cousre, these are just user reviews and not my personal experience. I am thinking of a Co2 system and maybe the torelli mini pump that is small enough to fit in a saddle wedge bag. Co2 is definite though.

I bought one with the built in pump because my regular one broke and I was in the middle of nowhere, on a cycling trip and it was all I could get. It is sitting on my shelf. It is too big and the pump is not worth the effort. Just carry extra C02 and there is no need for a pump. Buy your C02 from Sportman's Guide http://www.sportsmansguide.com They are ususally about 50 cents although on sale I've bought as low as 25 cents. Make sure you buy the C02 that uses non-threaded cartridges so you can find them at a low price. I buy them by a large box. I've never used all three yet. Also the new C02 pumps go on and off easily and put a little in the tube easily. They have changed in recent years.

Wall Mart is another place you pick CO2's by the box. Cheap too.

I will second walmart and Kmart has about the same prices. If you have any paintball places around they might sell it cheap too.

I have never used a CO2 system. Can you give the tube small bursts of gas or is it one big discharge? If my wife is home, I normally just call her on the cell phone to come and get me, and worry about changing the tire when I get home. Thanks for the input.

You can give it small bursts.
The old kind you had to screw onto a presta valve. Now they just push on and off. They are quick, easy, and they don't take up much room.
The only caveat is to empty your tire at home and pump it back up with air. C02 does not stay in a tube well overnight.
