My Tetra has been at the Calfee factory for 5 weeks to correct a drop-out alignment issue, and to be "nudified".
Yes, Calfee is having some growing pains, as I described it in a previous thread, and both my LBS and I had a hard time getting responses from the factory, but in the end, they came through with the stellar (no pun intended) service they have always been known for.
The bike had a very slightly misaligned dropout / deraileur hanger since it was new, and it took awhile to figure out what the problem was. Even though the frame is almost 4 years old, and the misalignment was minor, Calfee warranteed it without hesitation. They also cut me a generous discount on having the paint stripped, since I was unhappy with the durability of the paint (I should note that my wife's Tetra has not had any paint durability issues).
Well, I got it back yesterday, built it up last night, and problem solved. And with the nude finish, it looks like a new bike. I can't take my eyes off it.
Well, the weather is beautiful, and I gotta go ride.
Thanks Calfee!
