I've been riding my Z1X lately and am continuosly amazed at how the bike rides. I've never ridden anything like it (and I've been riding for a long (long) time). The bike feels alive, and is perfectly comfortable. Really a great great ride.

Any custom geomtery? What size frame? What kind of riding do you do? What bikes can you compare it to? How was the process of getting the Parlee? Paint? Details!

I agree with 1centaur... details man! Otherwise this must be a hit-n-run troll. How could you leave us in such suspense wondering about your bike setup, geometry, components, riding style,...? How does this bike handle on fast twisty descents, in bad road conditions, etc? What happens when you exit a turn and really stomp on it? How about climbing? We wanna know! Speak!

Paint? Why would you paint carbon? The clear coat finish is stunning.I start every ride with a 11 kilometer descent (Swiss Alps) Descending on the bike is like skiing on a great pair of racing skis. Climbing is a dance. Awesome
bike. Really beautiful too. Bob Parlee is great to work with. I found myself calling him just to shoot the breeze. He's a real interesting guy.

Indeed it helps, and that's because someday I hope to be in your shoes. That is, bombing alpine descents on a custom Z1X. Your machine sounds like a dream. Some other questions - did you change the bottom bracket height, or go with the stock 7cm for that size frame? Also curious what fork did you choose?
Finally, we have this thing called the "Photo Gallery" (link appears on the top of the page). The gallery is kinda designed for us real bike geeks - those of us with bad cases of OCD. Speaking on behalf of all the recovering bikeaholics on this site, we would be eternally grateful if you could take a quick digital snap of your wonderful steed and post it there. This would help a great many of us get through our day. THanks in advance and enjoy your machine. It sounds like the ultimate ride!

The bottom braket height I left at 7. I am using the Reynolds Ouzo Pro with a 45 rake. Don't ask me why I chose 45. All I know, the fork is very nimble and I can descend hands off the bars whenever I want with no shimmy at all.
I have tried to post pictures before with no luck. I could email you some pics and if you want you could try to post them.
