I recently purchased a deda OS bar and stem combo to try out on my Calfee , did I make a mistake?
I'm a big shouldered guy, 5'9" 190ish, that wants to stiffen up the front for climbing ,but not jar my teeth out, most of which are still mine. My current setup is deda 215's with a solido stem. The new setup is a deda OS newton's with a ritchey wcs stem.
Your wisdom is appreciated, Bob

My .02...
Did you make a mistake...I don't think so. It's a great combo. You may want to experiment with other options and fine tune your ride, but your Deda OS choices are nice.
I prefer and use Kestrel EMS Pro bars and a Ritchey WCS stem and find them better than any other bar-stem combo so far. I have the same build as you do, though I weight a few pounds less and I have found the stiffness of the Kestrels to be much greater than the Deda 215's I had prior to the Kestrels, yet maintain superior comfort.

The Deda OS bars work well for me. The only issue is the bar limits you to Deda aero bars, which are not the best available (no swing away arm rests for example, and heavy). The speedbars work great though.
