Will age/the high life/Cheryl Crow bring Lance low this Tour, or does he have a Sixth in him?
It was good to hear that he was training on Alpe d'Huez for the individual TT ... but I still have my doubts about his commitment this year.
Please contradict me though. I'd love to see 6.

Hamilton, Mayo and Ulrich have their collective eyes on the prize. We'll see.....
As much as I love the Giro, I think this year's TdF is going to be the grand tour to watch.

Lance either wins or doesn't make the podium. Because if it looks like he's not gonna win, he'll try a desperate Hail Mary, and that's when old champs crack and come unwound like a cheap toy on some brutal French mountainside.

Lance is an unusual guy, both physically and mentally. I would venture a guess that if he doesn't win, he will make if very hard for the eventual winner. And he will have a spot on the podium. In any case I'm rootin' for him.

Wouldn't mind seeing Tyler win even though Lance winning a 6th would be epic. Should be a great tour in any event.

There are so many things that have to go right, and even more things that can't go wrong, that the probability of a given rider winning the TdF should be very low. Yet multiple winners are the rule, not the exception. I don't think he'll win 6, but I've been wrong about him 5 years in a row. My mind is poisoned by statistical logic, but human performance does not obey probablistic calculations.

If I know Lance's personality. I'd said he's going to win by the biggest margin ever. He wants to nail this one, more than ever before. Of course no one out there is going to make easy for him, but then there's no one out that has the experience of winning the tour like Lance either. There isn't one rider in the tour that wouldn't love to be the winner especially this year. It should be a good tour, this is what Lance has worked for the last 10 years.

I think last year was a wake up call for Lance. I'm thinking he's going to be extra prepared for the unexpected to happen, and to minimize the effect that x-factors such as hot weather could have.
But, anything can happen, just by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Absent of unforeseen disaster, I think he's got it within himself to capture no. 6.

I just don't get this perception of Armstrongs lack of commitment this year. The guys is headline news and every time he steps into the publics eye they are snapping pics of him. Now with Crowe he is actually in another arena of spotlight and cameras. I think his commitment and focus cannot be questioned. he is no doubt fit unlike that fat butt Jan.
Irks me when I see the comments of lack of commitment,
