TUFO Tubular Clincher
#3175 - 05/30/04 03:41 PM (12.76.106.8)

Is anybody riding TUFO Tubular Clinchers? Has anyone ridden them?

What is your opinion? Which models did you ride? Did you use sealant? Any other viewpoints?

Thanks.

I've ridden TUFO's Tubulars. I am not sure which model I rode on. TUFO makes a nice tire! Relatively light, only had one puncture in about 2 years. I did use a sealant. I'd carry a couple of small CO2 bottles. If you get a small puncture...you can usually wait for it to seal...refill the air...and, at least get home. I think you'll be surprised at the ride!

Only their cross tire that is kind of like a tubular with a clincher bead. I really like that tire.

Actually they make road tires with the clincher bead as well, and are rumored to be introducing a mountain bike tire very soon.
