First off, what is the retail price of a Steel Crown Jewel, standard geometry, their steel fork and no custom paint?
And secondly, when did the 'Special Edition" first appear?

Retail for a steel CJ with steel fork and no paint upcharges is $1600. Pearl paints (including white), panels, multi-colored patterns or designs all have upcharges depending on how fancydancy. Custom geometry is the same cost as standard.
I'm not sure when the SE appeared but it must have been with the silver headbadge and Reynolds fork, which are its too changes. $1900 retail for this set up.
If you just want the headbadge then it's $100. If you want to paint the fork, it depends on the paint.
Prices may have changed but everything in cycling this year has become much more costly. It's brought my own interests into real circumspection.
