Tubular Clinchers
#3393 - 06/12/04 10:33 PM (200.50.80.176)

Has anyone seen or tried the Turfo Tubulars for clincher rims.

The seem like a great idea. No glue and can pump to 115-200psi.

You can see the at www.turfo.com.

ps: No I do not work for Turfo but saw them in the latest VeloNews

TUFO tires do work well (they roll nice and corner good)and they are hard to flat because of the sealant inside. If you should get a hole large enough to let the air out, just air it up and rotate it slowly and it will seal itself. We made a jig with a sharp screw that you could puncture the tire with to display this feature. However, if you get a large cut nothing but a new tire will help. If this is the first time you mount one, don't try it right before a ride, it will take a long time to do it until you have some experience.
