Split timing device
#3470 - 06/21/04 01:10 PM (66.47.18.170)

Does anybody know of a wristwatch/stopwatch device that can keep track of pace? What I'm looking for is something that would be used in an hour-record type scenario - You'd set the total time, say 1 hr, and total number of splits (laps), and the watch would count down the time you had to complete each lap. You press the button at each lap, and it recomputes how fast you need to do the rest of the laps. I think I've seen such a thing, but I can't find one anywhere.

And for those curious, I'm not going for the hour, I'm just trying to effeciently use time during the GMAT.

Talk to Fred Patton at Phoenix Sports Technology. If such a device exists, he'll know where to get it.

I believe the new Timex GPS watches do that. Not sure how great they would work on a bike though. Think they are mostly designed for running.
