Was at my mother-in-law's house, a woman who throws nothing away ever, and hanging in the garage is a Schwinn Apple Crate. It's dirty with loose spokes in the front wheel, but pretty good shape.
Here's a link that has it, an original in "show" condition listed for $1.995.00. Tiny picture. The link to the photos doesn't work.

Here's a reproduction that goes for $599.95, hers has a stick shift for gears on the top tube.
I think I need to call her back and put dibs on it. There's another chopper like banna seat bike, and some other old schwinn road bikes too. All oldies.

There is a huge market for old schwinn cruisers and Krates. I'm sure if it is in decent shape you could get good money for it. Better yet...ride it yourself around town. Those things are a blast.
