I was wondering if anyone has the easton slx fork or have heard any problems with it. New dragonfly and need to choose between alpha q and easton.

If it were my money, I would buy the Alpha Q, and forget the Easton. Just my .02, though.

The older Easton EC90 was a crappy fork (too flexy, chatters on the brakes and wanders in the corners, but it did look really cool). I am sure they have improved it with the SLX, perhaps to the point that it is a great fork, but the old EC90 has left such a bad taste in my mouth, I would never buy one or ride one if I had other options.

I do not know of any one riding the SLX, yet I know of many riders who have nothing but praise for the Alpha Q.

I started to say under your post in general discussion that nobody I've met has much good to say about Easton. I held off to try to be fair. Mark's response brought the thought back. It seems just about everyone has a story about a failed Easton product that was either their own or an acquaintance.
