Trying to decide between alpha q 3 vs easton slx. Anyone have opinion or experience with either of these.
Thanks

I've got the Sub 3 on my Tetra. I weigh 180-185 and it does the job. No concerns.

Hamilton would still be in the Tour if he rode an Alpha Q. His Easton fork broke.

I meant to say that his Easton handlebar broke. I had a friend who had a seatpost of theirs break. I would go with the Alpha Q.

I'm a 200-lb sprinter who has busted just about every piece of multiple bikes through sheer force (I've tacoed cassettes, torn steel frames in half, etc). I use AlphaQ forks with titanium steerers, and haven't had the slightest problem with them. I think they handle better than the Reynolds forks as well, but that's just my personal opinion.

mikemd, I just purchased an Easton SLX for a new bike I'm building but have not yet installed or ridden it. I have the Reynolds Ouzo Pro on my present bike but the Easton has a longer steerer, allows for more stack if needed (5cm), weighs less and has a five year warranty(hopefully I won't need to take advantage of it). What did you decide on?
