I know that bike fit is an art/science for which I should pay (and have paid) many $$$, but does it seem to anyone that someone my height (5'7") shouldn't be on a 48 Luna Pro? The only reason I'm considering the 48 is that I'm going to use the bike in several triathlons, so I tend toward a short top tube. I also seem to need a smallish cockpit due to lack of flexibility. I'd like to go with a minimum 10 cm stem if possible. Any thoughts out there?

48 stock? I doubt it.
I have a 'custom 46' and it fits me(5'6") fine for road and tri set-up. I have short legs/ long torso, so you might want to take that in consideration if you are planning a 48.

FWIW...I'm 5'8" on a 52" in. stock and I use it for multisport.

I'm 5'6" and ride a 52 Calfee. I'm actually fitted to 53 but TT has always been the important issue for me. Go with the correct TT, and personally I wouldn't go smaller than 100 on a stem. Height isn't as important as inseam length, its deceptive to use height because some of us have long legs or vice versa!!

Mr. Fuel -
Are you saying that the 50 stock would likely be too big? As I understand it, I'm a bit long in the torso when talking torso vs. inseam, but only a bit.
Again, I realize that I'm not giving enough detail for anybody to say what frame will fit. I'm just wondering if a 48 stock Luna Pro sounds outlandishly small.

I ride a 48 frame. I am about 5'6". almost even mearsurements when comparing the upper and lower torso. Had the head tube built up just a bit to get me in a better riding position.

C, My response was just a WAG. The best way to get a feel of what fits you best when going down on a smaller frame is to get a test ride. Or you can call Craig and see what he says. I'm not sure if he'll send out a 48 if your LBS do not have one.
If you are getting a really good deal on a 48 LUNA, you migth want to consider this one:

Well I'm a tri-guy. I am 5'5" tall and have a 28" inseam. I have owned three 48cm bikes - two Aegis Swifts and one Softride Powerwing(at this moment on ebay). I thought at the time that they were fine, and they all had 650c wheels as well. The Aegis had 76 degree seat tubes, so they were a cross between tri and road geometries. Softride - who knows?
Anyway, I now ride on a 51cm Tetra Custom road frame (74 degree seat tube) with an appropriately short top tube for road riding. I use this bike for tris from short to ultra distances as well and find the short top tube too short to be perfectly comfortable. I'm surprised you want a shorter top tube for tris - most tri bikes have longer top tubes than their road counterparts to keep the front wheel out over your body and give more stability in the aero position.
I would not choose a 48 cm frame for this purpose if it was me making the decision.
