Bottom Bracket Sizing

Looking for some help with Bottom Bracket sizing for a 2003 Colnago Dream. Using a double chainring, 53/39, with a Chorus 102MM bottom bracket. The clearance between the inner chainring and the Bstay is awfully tight. Anybody else using this setup? I'm wondering if I should be going with a longer spindle BB.
