I just read this on Competitive Cyclist site:
The MX Leader will be back again in 2005. In the place of this year's Molteni orange will be the red, white, and blue scheme of Team Motorola. Our vote was for 7-Eleven, as it seems like the Motorola sponsorship just ended only weeks ago! Perhaps we're a bit jaded, too, because we've got an old Motorola bike floating around here -- Dag Otto Lauritzen's name is stickered to it, with number peg and all. One important note about the Motorola frameset: Only 100 will be made. After these, the MX Leader will be done for good. Eddy's MXL tubing and lug supply is running out, and he only has enough for these 100.

Sure enough about the MX Leaders but no mention was made of the Corsa. Personally I would prefer a Corsa to an MX Leader just 'cause I'm not strong enough to appreciate it's stalwart design. One can only hope that a lugged steel bike will always be just a custom order away from Eddy's shop. These are remarkably well-built, handsome, and brilliantly designed bikes.

as always, douglas is spot on. our buddy brendan at competitive cyclist has ordered for me a custom corsa (sorta) 0.1 or whatever tubing combo eddy's using these days in 7-11 colors. many people speak highly of the corsa. as the very happy owner of an mx leader and team sc, i'm really jazzed at the prospect of another eddy. mr merckx knows his stuff.

I didn't know the factory was doing 7-11 colors. I bought a used Corsa Extra from a fellow in Germany who owns a bike shop, and he looked into having it painted at the factory for me before shipping it state-side. He told me the factory did not have the proper decals, so I took the bike as is. Maybe they thought I wanted a period-correct restoration? Too bad - I'm lusting for a 7-11 Corsa - I may have to go the Cycle-art route?
