mini-pump new

While I have seen full-length frame pumps mounted on a Calfee, personally I don't like the look of it. Which of the mini-pumps work well? My LBS seems to be pushing one called a "Barbieri CarbOne" carbon fiber tube model, not quite 10" long, weighing 69 grams. Does anyone have any actual road experience with one? Thank you.

I rode with CO2 for a while, used it once and it worked great, but always wondered if I would use it up on a ride and need more (I carried two carts and a second wind head but doubted I could really use the second wind to get the pressure way up).

Heard about the Barbieri, saw it was cheap, figured out I could carry it instead of my CO2 set-up and save a lot of weight, and thought I'd try it. First ride out I got a flat tire (vary rare for me), wouldn't you know it (on my Tetra, as a matter of coincidence). Used the Barbieri and....loved it! Smooth, did not heat up, got the pressure up to a good level without killing my arm (and I'm not that strong), went on and off the stem without drama - my best buy of the year. I put it in a saddle bag with the last inch sticking out rather than in my jersey pocket. I recommend it highly.

Thank you! I appreciate the opinion of someone besides a store manager. By coincidence, this morning I found myself arriving at my ride without my Zefal frame pump, which I have to take off to use my bike rack. There's an obvious advantage to a pump that can semi-permanently stay in place.
