am selling a 61cm Calfee Luna Pro. This is a practically brand new complete bike including integrated FlightDeck wireless computer. I would rate this bike a 9.8 cosmetically and a 10.0 mechanically.
Calfee frames are completely hand built in Northern California.
The color scheme is a beautiful burgundy fade with the fork painted to match. The bike rides extremely well, very balanced, not twitchy at all. It has great road feel, but yet it absorbs almost all the vibrations. The components are all practically brand new with very little use. The shifting is crisp and precise. I am a recreational rider. The bike has never been raced or crashed. It was built and maintained by Beverly Hills Bike.
The bike weighs less than 19 lbs including pedals. Not bad for such a large bike!
I own way too many bikes and this one just never gets ridden. Whoever gets this bike will be getting an almost new bike for over 1/3 off. It comes with a 10 year warranty.
The geometry is (all c-c):
Seat Tube: 61
Top Tube: 61
Seat Tube angle: 72
Chainstay: 41.5
Standover Height: 87.3
Headtube Angle: 74
Wheelbase: 102
Headtube length: 22
This bike will fit anyone over 6 feet tall. There are no weight limitations.
Here is what Calfee has to say about their Luna Pro frameset: The Luna Pro and Luna Tri frames carry on the reputation for quality that is well established with the Tetra frames. The Luna uses standard 33 msi fiber in the tubes. We use aluminum in the bottom bracket and head tube. We wrap the aluminum in fiberglass to insulate it from galvanic corrosion; others are still relying on anodization or the adhesive, getting an "acceptable failure rate." We don't buy that philosophy because it doesn't take that much extra to do the job right! Luna Pro Features: • Seamless carbon fiber tubes • 6/4 Titanium Dropouts • 1 1/8 th Head Tube available on 56cm and larger • Lugs are compression molded with metal dies, no bladders • 54cm frame weighs 2.75 lbs • Same "stiff-yet-comfortable" ride quality of the Tetra, including increased stiffness in the larger sizes • Double safety margin with bonded carbon-carbon joints • Aluminum head tube and bottom bracket sleeves are wrapped with fiberglass to prevent galvanic corrosion. • 27.2mm seatpost size is most common.
Here is a complete list off all the componentry on the bike including retail prices from the Colorado Cyclist catalogue. Colorado Cyclist has the lowest prices on new Shimano gear so the prices that I have listed are not inflated: Complete list of components including prices:
