Hi. Just joined the club and just bought a new Vamoots built up with Campy Chorus and Reynold's Ouzo Pro fork.
- Deda Newton bar and stem
- Chorus carbon seat post
- Campy Proton wheels
- Hutchinson tires
- Dark blue Selle Italia saddle
- Blue denim bar tape
- Look CX-6 black carbon pedals
The Protons are my first set of boutique or factory wheels so did not want to spend a lot of money to try them out. Have Conti's on my other road bike so thought I would try the Hutchinson's just to be different.
Love the Vamoots. Looked at a lot of frames and definitely wanted titanium because my other steel framed bike is 14 years old so I went for corrosion free longevity. Bike is beautiful - welds are perfect, bead blasted finish is very smooth. Will post a picture when I am able to.

Hello jct, I'm glad to see you bought one of the best Ti frames that have ever been made. Moots definately make a top quality product with superior ride and performance, along with those legendary frame welds. Even after owning mine for 6 years, i still marvel at how flawless the welds are done. I'm still loving every ride when i take MR Moots out,,,, too sweet ,,,,oh yeah. I have some photos posted in my gallery.
-------------------- Its time to ride.

Although I'm getting a Calfee Tetra Pro at the end of March, I can relate to anyone who is getting a custom-built bike. May you enjoy your sweet ride when you receive it. Make sure you post pics and your ride experience for us here. We are all enthusiastic about our machines.

I just talked to several Calfee riders at the Solvang Century last week. Sweet, sweet bikes. From what they were saying, Calfee knows how to retain a perfect sense of road feel in their carbon, while other makers have notoriously 'dead' feels. You done good! As a Prius driver myself, I also admire your taste in cars
I'm posting pictures of my Vamoots to the Photo Gallery. I've been riding it more than photographing it. I'm sure you'll all understand!
Best, Neil

Thanks for the nice reply Neil!
I'm picking my bike up today from the shop. It was being put together this past Friday but I had an engagement I had to leave for so I could not wait for the bike to be completed. I was away during the weekend. On Monday I was too tired to unload my minivan and I did not want to put my bike in the back of my Insight despite having put my current bike in their more than once. The shame of it is it's been unprecedented rain coming down in Sacramento today so it is quite gloomy out. I will bring my new bike home at least to admire it a day or two before a clear day so I can do my first ride on it. I just don't want to do my christening ride in the rain!
