Looking for a strong, well made quill stem. Have to look for NOS as few seem to be made these days. Any thoughts on Ibis ti stems?

If you can find one IBIS Ti stems are great - I have one on my 1995 MOJO which was modified for road use - my Cinelli handlebars were modified by the Sebastopol guys so it would fit the polished mountain Ti stem - 9 years and plenty of road miles at 211 lbs and no creaks whatsoever - in the stem/handlebars that is - easy to keep it shinning - there have been reported failures so if you find one to purchase inspect it with a mag glass for ANY indication of stress - like VERY, V E R Y small wrinkle lines - Mine polishes up like a mirror.

I have (am not currently using) a Ibis quill stem and like the other poster said it is a great stem. Mine is not polished but instead has the standard matte Ti finish. Other good stems are Nitto's, they seem to be bullet proof.
