My particular favorites are the Vanilla and the Sachs. That Sachs track bike is especially All That. No doubt a track bike like this or one made by Cycles Tournesol is far, far more detailed than, say, a Gan Well Pro, but there is something oh-so-Japanese about those NJS-approved Keirin bikes, one of the rules being that most of the bike must be Japanese. Some things from Japan are just SO DARN COOL for their being Not Like Us Gaijin Barbarians...Look at this stuff, for example; my wife is waaaay into this, I mean, who bakes happy kittens into sashimi in order to make a cuddily plush toy? Who still LOVES steel toe clips? Ya see? It's all of a piece, it all fits together in some excessively correct way. Go here to see what I mean:<http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5949613223&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT>

thanks dbrk; isn't it great to see that the american builders are not only still producing the finest stuff but seem to be thriving. by thriving i don't mean getting wealthy but there's a new generation getting into building with steel & the older stand-by's are backed up with orders. great times, maybe the best, if you love steel. and who doesn't?
