Craig has the very first Fly for sale at his web site under frame specials. I wish I had the money. What a great bike for a Calfee lover! Plus it is well under the price of a new Fly.

I never thought about owning the first Dragonfly tandem as owning a piece of history. My wife and I ride it just like any other tandem.

It is gone and quickly.
I referred to it as a piece of history since it was the prototype of the bike and its carbon/boron tubing. In the description Craig said one tube had been replaced that wasn't up to the final specifications. Plus the tubes are "unique" in that the boron was streaked in some areas. The serial number was all zeroes and a one. Definitely cool for a Calfee Fan who had the money. This bike was what proved the tubing concept and then led to the production models.
That said I'd suspect that there also would be a greater market for your first Fly Tandem. I know you have enjoyed it for quite some time now.
Happy riding.
