Hi all,
Well I received my Calfee Tetra Pro on Friday. If you all remember this is the frame and fork I purchased used, it had a BB shell that was spinning and the carbon on the bottom of the shell was torn. I figured someone had torqued the BB in the wrong direction, it was Italian. It also had the Cabernet finish, which is not my favorite, with many chips.
After talking with Craig, I mailed it back, I had no idea what it would look like when it was finished. I figured it would be a Frankenstein bike with some patch work to repair the BB, I was wrong!!
I opened up the box and could not believe this was the same beat up Calfee I had sent off. There was not one blemish on the beautiful nude carbon, the BB, which they replaced with an English, was flawless. There is not one indication that there had ever been a problem. The Ouzo fork matches and looks great. Only problem, the decals I can see getting scratched off within a couple of weeks.
To say the least, I was floored, this is practically a new bike!!!
Spent Friday night, much to the girlfriend's chagrin, building her up. Spent three hours out on the cold, slushy roads north of Boston. This was my first ride ever on carbon, let alone a Calfee, and it was fantastic.
The Calfee performed as advertised, smoothing out the potholed streets, while still being stiff and responsive. I am very happy and it looks great!!!!
I will post photos as soon as I get the stem worked out, still figuring out which Thomson to get to match the seatpost.

I am very happy for you. You went from utter shock and dismay when you first saw your bike to utter shock and amazement when you got it back from it's super-duper rebuild by the famous and well-known Craig Calfee. Seems you spend a lot of time amazed my friend. May you always love the ride of your Calfee bike and enjoy it for how great a product it is.
