I have got into the (stupid) habit of replacing my Camy Record with more Record. I have just seen some Mirage brakes (in Black) that would look great on my new frame. How do they compare? I am through with buying high-end stuff because it is carbon (or looks sexy, is ultralight or whatever) - I am not sure the cost-benefit equation works for me anymore and I was wondering about going for something like Mirage.
Any comments/advice welcome.

I have had nothing but great experience with Mirage.
I had it on a touring bike for a few months and it worked great- the ergolevers, rd, fd, (Veloce) cranks...
Just one tiny beef - the slightly tubby hubs, and the fact that- as a maintenance nut- they're not cup and cone. As far I can determine, Mirage is just Veloce with slightly lower finish specs. (and now it's black, but not until very recently was it only black)
