K,
Can you tell me the bar height from the floor with your present set up? Also the length of the headtube?

owner of at least one other Kahunaride,

Oops, okay so the headtube is 18.2, can you still tell me the bar height from the floor: plomb bob drop straight down from the top of the bars to the floor...you know exactly what I mean.

this obscure number is magic to me, thanks, pal,

Dbrk,

I can't measure the bar height now since the frame has been dissasembled but I may have it written down somewhere and possibly even marked on my workbench. I'll have to check.

Disirregardless, I'd imagine this could be calculated based on the nominal standover height, head tube length, no. of spacers and stem rise. It may help to know the HT protrudes about 2.5cm over the top edge of the top tube, there's 1.7cm of upper stack on the King headset and there's exactly 4cm of fork steerer exposed above the headset to accomodate both spacers and stem clamp. I was using 1.5cm of spacers. Hope this helps.

Aloha,

-K

dbrk,

In luck, I had it marked on my workbench. It looks like 93 - 93.5cm from floor to the center of the bar tops. In other words, to the center of the bar-stem clamp. This was using an 84 degree Ritchey WCS Pro stem - not the 80 degree ITM stem in the picture.

Aloha,

-K

Kahuna, I gotta admire just how conscientious you are to have this number. That's the good news. The relatively bad news for me is that this number is too low. I need 96cm or a bit less...but can't go under 94.5. One more thing: saddle height? Is that listed? I'll have a look.

swell bike, really, really swell,

dbrk
