Hi folks,
I just posted some photos of a Parlee Z2(57cm) and a Z3(M/L). I think they'll be in the show photo section.
I will be setting up the Z3, a Moots Vamoots, and a lugged Waterford built with Reynolds 753, ride them for some time, and report back on the relative differences of each of their ride characteristics. To me, this is interesting because my riding position will be virtually identical on each bike, and I'll be using the same set of wheels (Mavic Ksyrium Elites), so each frame material's ride characteristics are isolated better.
Let me know if you have any questions. I hope I'll be able to help folks with my future comments.
Thanks, Roy

Roy, Can't wait for your review of differences between Vamoots and Parlee. I ride a Vamoots and I'm picking up my Parlee Z1x next Thursday.

Hi Terry,
Yes, the 57cm Z2 is available for test rides.
I'm located on Route 16, about 2 miles west of town center.
Regards, Roy

I'm definitely excited about doing this comparison; I'm been dreaming of doing one for years. I'm trying very hard to be dispassionate about it.
Now if only it would stop snowing every few days here in Massachusetts. Oh well, I'll pretend I live in Belgium...

TiLee,
Tell us more about the Z1x you're getting. What components have you chosen? What wheels?
What about the Vamoots? How do you like it? What's the setup?

The Moots is my Ti bike. Moots stem and post, DA, Mavic K-SL's, Aliante, 3t bar, Ouzo Pro.
The Parlee will be the carbon bike. DA, 3T BioMorph bars, Ouzo Lite, Topolino wheelset, FSA MegaExo compact crankset, Easton EC90 Zero post, Aliante, Ritchey WCS stem.
Already getting my wife prepped for my Ti-Carbon addition. The new IF looks sweet in the photos.

Very nice spec on both bikes! What made you go with the Topolino wheels for the Parlee?

Just hang tight! They've only got a few folks working, and from my visits to the factory, I can tell you that the lay-up of the carbon lugs is something you can't rush. I'm sure the wait will be worth it.

Read good things about the topo's. The K SL's would match my black/silver theme, but I had to try to topo's. Snow on the ground here, so it may be awhile before I can give them a real (non-trainer) test.

Gray, I'll tell you about cruelty. I started my Parlee adventure in September and I'll get the bike in two days. In fairness, most of the time was me settling on frame specs. Then it accidently went to Chicago for a couple of days. The last two weeks have been LBS delays. I can tell you it looks magnificent. ti

I have Topos and I love carbon bikes, but I wonder if the two together will suit you. I have Topos on my Crumpton and on my Six13, and softening up the latter is fabulous...softening up an already vibration damped ride might be a little TOO soft.
BTW - My Vamoots is in paint and my Parlee is getting close to moving from the drawing board to an order, so this comparo will be interesting to me too.
