Hi All, just wondering if anyone has any nuggets of wisdom for a first time builder. I've got the Paterak Manual and am slowly reading it, and lurk on the framebuilders list serv and the frameforums.net forums. The goal is to make a lugged road frame with canti studs and built with a long top tube around a flat bar.
just wondering anyone's thoughts on tubesets for beginners (531, Versus, Thron..), Lug choices (Henry James, Pacenti,...)
First timer torches. No jigs or mills here, just hacksaw, files, and homemade jigging I guess.
