I have a Tetra Pro custom and it is painted. it has some scratches and i would like to get it nude or clear coated. does the frame loose any of its stiffness or durability having the paint removed.

No, paint has nothing to do with stiffness. Your best bet would be to contact Calfee directly, or through your dealer and find out about changing the finish to your bike. Nude is quite different, and to my eye, makes the bike look very industrial. See if you can find a nude Calfee before you commit to that finish.

Clear is much less expensive to switch to and nude is the most expensive since it is very labor intensive. Repainting the same color is the least expensive. Just give them a call.

I had my painted Tetra "Nudified" by Calfee. It does, as Lon pointed out, cost more than just having it repainted the same color since they strip all the paint by hand. As as you know, there are a lot of little nooks and crannies to scrape all that paint out of. When Calfee was done, the frame looked as though it was nude all along. They did a great job.
The Calfee website shows a $250 charge for doing this. If you are going to change the color of the frame, It will cost a bundle since they have to strip all the paint before they can repaint it a different color. The refinishing starts at $200
