Greetings to the group.I've been a fan of Seven bicycles for many years and now finally have the opportunity to get one. I'm debating between the Odonata and the Axiom. I'm a recreational rider who rides about 150 miles a week between late April and early Nov. I ride with a club so many of our "recreational" rides become quite competitive.I try to do about 4 centuries a year culminating my year with the El tour de Tucsom in Arizona, which I've ridden in just slightly over 6 hrs. .I've ridden for over 40 years and being 61 years of age find that comfort on the bike is very important. Any advice from riders who have experience with both bikes will be greatly appreciated.
Get the Axiom. I couldn't be more pleased with mine. I doubt that the Odonata would be more comfortable just because of the carbon. Because the seat tube is in compression there is nothing sustantial to smooth out bumps. Same goes with the seat stays. You might perceive a slight dampening of the vibrations but that would be debatable. When you get interviewed for the build just emphasize comfort. They'll get it.
