FS: Sz 54 Calfee Tetra Tri w/. Mavic Carbone Whls
#5976 - 05/18/05 05:49 PM (12.145.80.76)

This is an excellent opportunity to own a top-of-the-line carbon fiber triathlon bike that's loaded with great components! Currently asking $2,250.

This is size 54 2001 Tetra Tri frame with 2-1/2 year old Mavic Cosmic Carbone wheels (650 clinchers) and a brand NEW Ultegra group. The frame has approximately 500 miles on it, the wheels about 200 miles and the Ultegra group set was installed 2-months ago, before riding in 3 sprint triathlons or about 40 miles.

See ad and pics at: http://classifieds.mtbr.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/classifieds.pl?db=Road&website=RoadbikeReview&language=&session_key=&search_and_display_db_button=on&results_format=long&db_id=52150&query=retrieval

Top Tube: 55.5 cm
Seat Tube: 54 CM (center of BB to bottom of binder)
Stand over: 74.8 cm

I am 5'9-1/2" tall and this bike fits great. In reality, this bike could be sized for anyone between 5'8" and 5'11" at the top end.

The Tetra Tri frame weights a scant 2.5 lbs as a size 54 ($2,695 new with fork) and the wheels are top of the line performers for time trialing and triathlons ($1,450 new).

Additional details:

- Never crashed or dropped. Always well maintained!
- Cranks are Dura Ace 172.5
- Saddle is Buzz Off (very comfy!)
- The frame is immaculate with typical road wear and only one noticeable (cosmetic) clear coat ship on the top tube that's perhaps 2mm in diameter
- Frame color is a dark blue pearl that changes in certain light to a deep purple pearl (rare calfee prismatic paint, $400)
- Conti tires with plenty of miles to spare
- Ritchey bars and seat post

The Mavic carbon wheels are in excellent condition with no scratches or any damage to the decals, etc. You're gonna love 'em!

Note: Pedals, water bottle cage and speedometer are NOT included in this sale. Clip-On carbon bars are not included either, but could be included for an additional $110.

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to see additional, more specific pictures.

Buyer to pay actual shipping costs and a few bucks for packing. Most places in the USA are reachable for $40-60 USD using FedEx Ground.

I will take personal or cashier's checks, but nothing ships until the check clears my account. PayPal is the preferred method of payment, but I would ask that the buyer split the 2.9% PayPal fees.

Local pickups in Virginia are fine too!

Thanks!
