Who has the most miles on their Calfee? I vaguely recall Craig stating there's at least one guy who has one of the original Carbonframes Sapphire with something like 100,000 miles on it, and its still going!!
I'll start. My Calfee tetra custom was bought used in 1997 with something like 2500 miles on it (or so the original owner stated, he bought it in 1994 and had tri one too).
I probably average 2-2500 miles/year. That means I put on approximately 16-20,000 miles. Not too much. Anyone else?

I don't bother to track annual miles, but 50,000 to 100,000 is about what you get on a good steel frame before it cracks, and they all do at some point. Metal fatigue will get a steel frame every time. I suspect you could probably get 200,000 or more on a Calfee. But by then, wouldn't you be itching to get a new frame?

In three months I have put a paltry 770 miles on my Calfee so far. I hope to be able to start increasing my mileage soon.

Well, that beats my mere 610 miles in about the same time.

I approximated that I have little over 100,000 miles on my 92 Lemond Carbonframes. I have been racing the frame exclusively since 1996 in beautiful southern California. The frame has been a pleasure to ride, and the customer service I have received from Carbonframes/Calfee over the last 13 years has been exceptional. Calfee recently refurbished the frame, and I could not be happier. Calfee not only performed many upgrades to the frame, they also repainted the frames while managing to save all the old Lemond/ Carbonfrmae decals. Fastfish

I just added a bit over 60 miles to my Calfee today. My odomoter now reads over 830 miles. Now for the sad part, for me it was the longest ride I've had so far. For the first 50 miles my average speed was 16.2 mph. It dropped to 15.8 by the time I got back home, though. I will be taking a nap soon. Long bike rides do that to me. (Must be because I'm getting older. )

I purchased my used Tetra Pro about 3.5 years ago. I have about 18,500 miles on it so far (about 3500 since January of this year). For those of you who have 100,000 on your bike, that is amazing and quite an achievement. Congratulations.

Wow, you are putting a lot of miles in. Are you retired?

I am only up to 901 miles now since I received my bike.

I got my Tetra Pro a year ago last February, and I am at 5,209. I wish I had a lot more, but for now that's all I can do.
