Hey Kids,
The wonderful people at Parlee Cycles are now also building carbon frames for Cycles Tournesol, the Douglas Brooks/Hampsten Cycles uber-project. Imagine, if you will, old-world randonnee and constructeur-style bicycles (Rene Herse, Alex Singer) interpreted for the modern age using contemporary materials and building methods.
Of course the workmanship is stunning and the ride is sublime, but the look is...just perfect, imho. If there was ever a bike to be ridden on a 100k brevet in a wool long-sleeve jersey with knickers and argyle socks, possibly with a Galoise sticking out of the corner of one's mouth...this would be it. Citroen 2CV not included, malheuresment.
It rides real nice, too.
