Bottom Bracket spindle length on Calfee Tetra Pro
#6565 - 09/11/05 04:52 PM (137.5.10.140)

Hey all--
I recently got a Stronglight Pulsion Crank-set and had a Stronglight Twister BB installed (68 x 108mm). It's an ISIS spindle. Turns out it may be too short a spindle. The drive side crank-arm seems to have acceptable clearance (barely), but the off-drive crank-arm touches the chain-stay. The BB was installed by a reputable local Bike Shop, so I'm confident it was installed correctly.

Has anyone heard about this? Can I just order a 113mm spindle length from some other manufacturer?

Thanks!
K

You may be in the area of trial and error here.A different companies 108 may work for you,as the offset left-right may be different. If it looks like theres just not enough room, then a 113 is probably in order.

I doubt anyone else here has that specific crank/bb,so you probably need to try other bb's to see what works.

Hope this helps,dan

Thank-you, sir! I'm thinking I'll be going the 113mm route. Those crank-arms on the Pulsion Cranks are very straight (unlike most which seem to have some offset).
