I can't seem to find a seatpost that won't slip. I went through 3 carbon ones (Deda, Easton, & a Campy knock-off) & then called Calfee. I was then told that carbon posts can vary in actual diameter. At the cost of carbon posts I wasn't about to buy a ton of them, so I stuck with my Campy ti post. I thought that it was staying in the right place, but after measuring my saddle height it has slipped over 1 cm in the last month+. I hadn't even noticed since it was happening so slowly. I put it backed where it belongs, tightened the seatpost clamp as tight as I could get it (gotta love steel bolts!) & I was able to grab the seat & twist it. Not cool.
The fellas at Calfee recommended a Thomson post as one that was a definite tight fit. Any suggestions? Thanks,

I had the same issue with 2 different Deda Blacksticks. I finally purchased a Thomson Masterpiece and no longer think about it.

After using several carbon posts I finally settled on a Thomson Masterpiece and have never regretted it.

Dave,
I must be cool to have your name etched into the seatpost of all your bikes.

Thomson Masterpiece without grease (slipped with grease). Thomson Elite would work the same.

Be sure to degrease the inside of the seattube first with some alchohol. If it's too tight, you can then regrease it.
Since there is a fiberglass insert in there,it won't get stuck.

I went to a Masterpiece when my Easton carbon cracked in line with the collar. However, I quickly noticed the difference on every bad road. I hadn't expected that with my Tetra. Have been using a USE Alien with no slippage problems so far.
