Is it me or does everyone find the SevenCycles website owners section absolutely useless? The articles posted including the newsletters are pure advertising crap.
Personally I think they should have something more useful like a forum similiar to this. Articles from owners including where they're from, pictures, rides, etc...
Now that I would find useful and a draw back to their website.

We tried to have a Seven fan site on this forum, but Seven basically told us: "cease and desist", hence no Seven Cycles Fan Club here.
I found it quite strange that they reacted like than, but to each is own.

I went to the Seven web site and this is my impression: It is pure marketing controlled by an advertising guy. Their "customization," page is for the clueless. They avoid talking tech talk to the initiated. Thing is, in my opinion, only the inititated are going to be buying the bulk of their high-end bikes.
Don't get me wrong, the major manufactures to the custom guys all build great bikes. There are no bad bikes, per se. The kinds of bike sites I like are the ones that tell it like it is, not wrap up descriptions with flowery language. The image many sites like to give is that their bikes are better than average because pros win races on them. If that premise were really true everyone would want a Trek.

I own 2 Seven's and I guess I need to trade them in for a Trek if I want to win a race... Good thing I don't race.
To be fair most company web sites are similar to the Seven site and all are pretty much designed with the input of the marketing person of their company.
I think it would be great if I could see comments from other owners and I wouldn't mind posting my own positive comments.
I hope that Rob Vandermark browses thru this forum and sees our comments.. Just maybe, he might instruct his marketing manager to update the site with owners comments.. What better marketing tool then happy owners.

I agree that Seven needs a forum on their website. I own a Seven and I'm about to make it two Sevens. I love their bikes. I think they should make a forum similar to the Moots forum.
