Hi all- Great forum. I've read what many of you have to say about Pegorettis and thought this was a good place to post a couple of questions I have. My friend has a Marcelo and it's terrific.
I'm thinking of ordering a Luigino Pista. I can't keep my eyes off that red and white bike they have one their site. Does anyone have any experience with this bike? I'd like to hear from those who have the stardard Luiginos re: build quality. It's an expensive frameset, I just want to make sure I'm getting something strong and well built -- not just a pretty bike. Does Dario himself build the bike or does he have assistants around? Also, every place I'm looking at quotes 90 days or so. What are some of the lead times you've encountered? Lastly, I understand that you have to order one through a shop here in the US. Part of what attracts me to the bike is communicating with Dario himself re: size, angles, etc -- you know, getting a custom frame built by Pegoretti. What have been some of your expereinces going through a "middle man" so to speak. Thanks very kindly.

I have a brand new Luigino Pista for sale. 57.5 cm It is a little different than the one in Darios web site. It is very beautiful, pearl white with yellow head tube. Chrome stay and fork crown. Never been built up. Will sell for $1800.00 with Campy Record headset. Too big for me. You can check a few pictures at Bikyle website.
Dario has changed the Luigino a bit. fancier lugs, fancier fork, milled out dropouts, etc..
They just raised the price to $2500 without chrome and pearl paint. Save about $900.
Thanks...Wagon
