FS--62CM Dragonfly Pro F/F/H Only new
#7287 - 01/07/06 07:36 PM (69.224.150.163)

I have for sale a stock geometry 62cm Dragonfly Pro frame
delivered 6/11/04 with Reynolds Ouzo Pro fork and
Tange headset.

Cosmetics identical to the Dragonfly w/Cabernet Red lugs and nude tubes as pictured on the Calfee website:

http://calfeedesign.com/tubeslugscolors.html

Frame built with 1 1/8" headtube w/1cm headtube
extension.

The bike is in superb condition. Fewer than 1,750 miles ridden since June 2004. That's why it's for sale. The Calfee recommended 303 protectant has been used regularly on the nude tubes. There are 23.5 years remaining on the mfg warranty.

$2,799, includes the $250 "second life" warranty transfer fee and shipping to/from Calfee for warranty inspection/certification & actual transfer. Placerville CA area (east of Sacramento).

I borrowed my daughter's digital camera to take some pics of my Dragonfly Pro--not very happy w/results, but send me an e-mail at ajloliver@yahoo.com and I can send you what I took. I either don't know how to use the camera, or it's not a very good one (or both). The high-res pics on the Calfee website are accurate depictions of my bike. For those who know something of Calfee Design, this Dragonfly Pro will come back from Calfee after its warranty inspection/certification/transfer in as good, or better, condition than when I took delivery of it brand new in June 2004.

You can also see a listing for this bike (w/pics) on craigslist.com--search "calfee" in the "San Francisco" listings. I need a shorter "cockpit" than this 62 will allow--I'm already riding it with a 90mm stem, any shorter will be unwieldy. It's just a little bit too big for me.

Me. . . AGAIN!

The painted lugs on my Dragonfly have a couple of nicks here and there--a small one on the head tube, a spot where the rear brake cable housing has rubbed on the seat tube cluster, and the BB lug has a small scratch from a chain dropping incident. I've checked w/Calfee and it will cost $299 to completely strip and repaint the lugs and de-nude (re-nude?) and re-decal the bike (if you don't like the red, now'd be the time to change the color).

I will also include the re-paint in the $2799 price. If you don't want the repaint, drop price $300 to $2499. If you don't want the warranty inspection and re-certification, there's another $250 you can knock off if you wish.

The fiberglass sleeve in the seat tube that holds the seatpost has a hairline crack in it about 1/4 inch long. It doesn't affect the ride or the seatube's ability to stay put. I've already confirmed w/Calfee that this is a warranty item and, should you decide to go without the warranty transfer, we should at least get that fixed first just the same.

So. . .$2799, new paint and decals, any faulty items will be fixed (e.g. fiberglass sleeve), full inspection & blessing by Calfee, and a 23 1/2 year warranty. . . the frame & fork will be, literally, new.
