Hello Calfee....

I was thinking about the Stiletto in regards to fairings. Right now I have the ffm fairing and sock set up and when I look at the bike it seems it would be interesting to set it up like the lightning f40 with a front fairing that partially covered the front wheel (maybe like the rotator coyote that works either indepedently while the fairing is attached to the frame...this would work well with the remote steering) and connected to a rear scaffold ala f40 and sock connecting them. It does not seem it would be that difficult to build...carbon front and aluminum rear scaffold with greater coverage attached to frame and seat...and would make the bike even faster in addition to still being a practical vehicle. What do you think?

Sounds to me like a very interesing concept to pursue. Keep posting and let us know if you are going to go ahead with the project.

Call Craig... new [Re: Insightdriver]

You should give Craig a call since you will be starting with his bike. He might very well help. He is riding one now. Or you might find out that his wants to work on the concept. He is a really great guy and loves bikes. I have found early or late being the best times to reach him if he is in town since he is in the factory a great deal.

Took your advice and gave Craig a call. He was very helpful and has some interesting ideas on hpv's, fairings, bikes in general and spent quite a bit of time speaking about how folks progress from fairings to bodysocks to faired bikes...and the market associated with each...quite informative.

Still, would be cool to see what could be done if money were no object....hahah.

There are not many people like Craig. Craig is awesome and He is in the business because he loves it. When I talked to him my decision was made. When he questioned me on my riding/budget/etc and recommeded the bike that cost less I knew he was exceptional.

I figured if you got him the two of you would enjoy a talk. As far as money being no object...it is fun to dream...
