of no importance of all
#7599 - 04/05/06 02:22 PM (67.166.150.131)

It's been raining a lot so I haven't gone out on my bike. In addition I have inflammation in one eye that has affected my vision out of it. I don't think it's good to ride with a bad eye.

I think that's a good idea.

Also of no importance:
I went out on my mountain bike, in almost two weeks, before work, in the dark, in almost a month, yesterday. I got spider webs all over me, and it was great.

Oh, that's why I've never seen pirates riding bicycles?

That made me laugh. Now let me clue you in on my reason for not riding. When I close my good eye it looks like I'm looking at the world through waxed paper. When I look through my good eye, the world is sharp and in focus. When I have both eyes open I see halos and stuff, disorienting, to say the least.

Just get a patch for the bad eye...all you do is lose your depth perception...not a big thing riding...

Seriously I hope it gets better soon. Bad health sucks I'm still trying to recover from a car accident last July. I get one thing better and another goes plus all the glorious meds have side effects. Now my liver is fried. Well at least it will heal itself...eventually...hopefully...

Lon, I'm hoping it gets better soon. I'm looking at another estimated 6 weeks of taking meds and a few more week before my vision clears up. That said, if I'm unlucky my other eye might come down with the inflammation after this eye gets better. I hope to be lucky, but must be prepared for the worst. Many cases of what I have turn into a chronic malady that leads to blindness.

Attitude is important plus getting the best opinions. I would not just trust one. If Lance had he would have been dead at the worst and seen the end of his career at best. (The chemo they were going to use ruins your lungs.)

I hope you didn't mind the little joke. I laugh at all my current problems at least as best as I can! It is hard.

Maybe you could piddle along on a little used rails to trails. It isn't great but it will get you spinning. For 6 months or more my big thrill was a Life Cycle a few times a week for 20 minutes.

Take care and all the best. It will work out.

Lon, good words to say. I hope the weather holds tomorrow for I plan to ride my bike. I'll be one sad rider for my engine has been idle for too many weeks, and I know you know what I mean.

Cheers,

Ed

Don't worry there will always be a sadder engine out there ...me. I totally ran out of gas yesterday in a short distance and I went to bed at seven and I got up at 11. I was awake briefly to eat. Liver problems are the pits! Poor health sucks! It's not fair I took care of myself. Maybe I should have stayed at 3 packs a day and 3 to 5 martini's. I'd be alive & oblivious or just plain dead.

Lon, you made me smile, man. Take good care and take life with humor, for it's the only way we can survive.
